Do you want to work with a leading homelessness charity delivering psychologically informed care to the most vulnerable people in Scotland?
The Simon Community is looking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist to work with our clinical psychologist providing support to our Edinburgh teams who are helping non UK nationals exercise their human rights to good mental health.
Your role will be to engage with non UK nationals in Edinburgh who are experiencing or facing destitution to understand the impact on their mental health of insecure accommodation, what the barriers and solutions might be to improving access to mental health services with the aim of improving mental health and wellbeing. This initiative is funded by the Scottish Government.
You will be working under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and may also be involved with specific clinical, research, evaluation, audit, literature searches, and other service development work.
The position is full time and the project is 12 months in duration. You’ll be based in our Streetwork team in Edinburgh. A competence in other languages would be a distinct advantage.
