The Simon Community Scotland (SCS) Managed Alcohol Programme (MAP) launches in Glasgow in July 2021 and is the first of its kind in Scotland and across the EU. The MAP is a truly collaborative multidisciplinary project with our colleagues in Glasgow Addiction Recovery services and has secured three years of investment. This will be a registered Housing Support Service which will be groundbreaking in many aspects of its service delivery! We are looking for people who go the extra mile as excellence and innovation will be at the heart of everyday delivery of this service.

  • Salary: Band 19 £18,525 (SW1) or Band 20 £18,810 to Band 23 £20.385 (SW2)
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

RSVP Relief Worker

RSVP (Glasgow)

All elements of our RSVP service work closely together to provide joined up and cohesive support for the individuals we support. This role requires the flexibility to work across all elements of RSVP, and requires shift work 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Shared Living Link Worker

West Dumbartonshire/Edinburgh

The Shared Living Link Worker role is ideal for someone who can build positive relationships and partnerships with housing associations, local authority housing officers, third sector organisations, and crucially, engage and support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have aspirations to share a tenancy and commit to each other’s shared life goals.

  • Salary: £18,810 – £21,677
  • Location: West Dumbartonshire/Edinburgh
  • Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, duration for 1 year with possibility of extension (If no further funding available, employees could be accommodated into other services).

Support Worker 1

Streetwork, Edinburgh

We are looking for someone who is fluent in English, and Romanian, Romanes or Turkish to help us grow the positive, trusting relationships we are building with people facing homelessness who are not originally from the UK, particularly with members of the Roma community.   

  • Salary: £18,525 (FTE based on a 37.5hr week)

Support Worker 2 – North Lanarkshire

Residential Services (North Lanarkshire)

We have full time vacancies for support workers based in our North Lanarkshire residential services, these areas include Motherwell, Airdrie and Wishaw.  We also have opportunities to join our relief staff team. Relief hours are based on service delivery needs and offer an exciting chance to build your experience and skills in social care, these roles are ideally suited to students and those who can be flexible with their time and availability. 

  • Salary: £18,810 – £21,677
  • Location: North Lanarkshire (Residential Services)
  • Hours: 37.5 hrs (Rolling rota over 7 days with expectations to do night shifts/sleepovers)

Support/Relief Workers – Women’s Services

Women’s Housing Support Services (Glasgow)

We have full and part-time vacancies for support workers based in our women’s housing support services in Glasgow. We also have opportunities to join our relief staff team. Relief hours are based on service delivery needs and offer an exciting chance to build your experience and skills in social care, these roles are ideally suited to students and those who can be flexible with their time and availability. 

We will also consider applicants looking to work on a permanent night shift basis.

  • Salary: £18,525 – £21,677 SW1/SW2 (FTE based on a 37.5hr week)
  • Location: Women’s Housing Support Services (Glasgow)
  • Hours: Working on a rota basis including overnight (waking and sleepover) and weekend shifts

The broad aim of our support is to help people resolve or prevent homelessness but we help people to identify the support they need in all areas of their lives, and to plan to have their needs met.  We help people to develop their support plans which are based on their needs and wishes and designed around their individual circumstances.  Support is based on the psychologically informed environment and trauma informed care principles, and our approach is underpinned by the Housing First principles.

To best meet people’s needs, we work in partnership with a wide range of agencies and so working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team is central to the Support Worker role. 

  • Salary: £18,810 – £21,677 (FTE based on a 37.5hr week) Relief Support Worker rate £9.50 per hour (hours are and when required).
  • Location: Edinburgh
  • Hours: Flexible, including evenings and weekends to meet service users’ needs

Our Volunteer Coordinator role is ideal for someone who can galvanise the support of the public, build positive relationships and partnerships, lead projects and initiatives, and crucially, build a volunteering programme that brings genuine value to the organisation and a fantastic experience for our volunteers.

This person taking up this post will be at the forefront of our strategy to engage volunteers across all of our services including our Period Friendly Project.

  • Salary: £23,814 – £25,547 (FTE based on a 37.5hr week)
  • Location: Glasgow
