The first stage in your volunteering journey is to attend one of our Volunteer Information Sessions. This is where we’ll tell you a little bit about us and what roles we have available at the moment.
The Sessions will be held via a Zoom meeting. We are holding Sessions like this in the interests of public health and will be constantly reviewing to help keep everyone safe and well.
If you’re interested in becoming a Period Friendly Volunteer we’re looking for an army of volunteers to work with us on our project.
Scotland became the first country in the world to make it a legal right to access free period products in November 2020 when the Scottish Government passed the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill.
We’re working with Glasgow City Council and across the city of Edinburgh to ensure continuity of supplies to those who need them, in places they can easily access them.
Sign up for one of our Volunteer Information Sessions by using the links below:
Monday 8 November, 12.30-1.30pm
Tuesday 9 November, 6-6.30pm
Come along and hear how our Period Friendly Project is addressing the issue of period poverty, affecting many people in Scotland.
If you have any questions, or would like to speak to us about volunteering for Simon Community Scotland or Streetwork, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
