During his career, David has served in senior positions in Health and Social Care as well as Corporate Policy working extensively in both local Government and the NHS. His experience spans research, operational and strategic management encompassing community care, care of adults and older people, and primary care.

Latterly David was an Assistant Chief Officer with Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership. He retired in 2018.
