Throughout Michael’s career with Simpson and Marwick WS, he has been engaged in civil litigation in the personal injury field focusing on accident and industrial disease on behalf of the insurance industry, together with representation of medical and dental professionals in the civil and criminal courts.  His experience extends to attending many fatal accidents and other inquiries including the Lockerbie Air Accident Inquiry, the Dunblane Inquiry and more recently the C-Diff Inquiry. From 2006 to date, he also sits as a part time Sheriff.  He has a keen interest in golf and is a member of the Renaissance and Luffness New Golf Club.  In addition to being a Trustee Board Member for Streetwork he is a member of the Merchant Company of Edinburgh and a Director of Murrayfield Curling Ltd.
