Tom Bennett has experience of property investment, finance and housing development. Tom previously ran the housing investment programme at Big Society Capital, which provides seed capital for investment into charities and social enterprises in the UK. Tom’s aim is to ensure there is enough housing of the right type and highest possible quality to provide stable homes for our community.

At Simon Community Scotland Tom brings experience in both the private and third sectors designing and funding new homes working to the board and two board committees. Outwith this his principal responsibility is caring for his three-year old daughter. (Definitely the most demanding boss he’s ever had!) He also enjoys reading and when the weather is good outdoor swimming, cycling and running.
