You will report to your Service Lead and work in harmony with all other teams within the North Lanarkshire area as well as the wider organisational teams, and will look outward to develop your practice area in partnership with all stakeholders. 

Support Workers will provide positive practical and emotional support to people who use the service that focuses on goals, promotes choice and encourages personal responsibility. Support Workers will also establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a range of external partners to ensure support to service users is coordinated and in agreement with identified care plans. 

  • To work with service users to develop and deliver person-centred support plans that achieve the best possible outcomes for people who use the service.
  • To encourage people who use services to take an active role in their support and in all decisions relating to them or their support.  
  • To participate in the monitoring and evaluation of services provided to people who use the service.
  • Be responsible for the service, ensuring a supportive, homely and safe environment is maintained along with a daily staff presence.

Volunteer Coordinator Edinburgh

Edinburgh & remote

You must be a self starter who can work on your own initiative; motivate and inspire others; drive creative solutions in managing resources and logistics; and implement innovative volunteer programmes for the benefit of people who need our support.

We have created two exciting opportunities for Clinical Psychologists to join us in Edinburgh and Glasgow in reshaping the experiences, the outcomes and the opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.

Many of the people we support have complex lives and histories, often with previous and repeat trauma. We are looking for clinical psychologists to join our teams to remodel our service response and help shape better outcomes for people. This is a unique opportunity to fundamentally reshape the way services operate. Over the last 5 years we have been shaping a trauma informed response and we’re now wanting to go further in building a team approach around a psychological model, developing knowledge, skills and pathway to implement and create evidence based practice.

SALARY:£45,000 – £55,000 per annum

RSVP Support Worker

RSVP (Glasgow)

All elements of our RSVP service work closely together to provide joined up and cohesive support for the individuals we support. This role requires the flexibility to work across all elements of RSVP, and requires shift work 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Support Worker 2- Edinburgh

Holyrood Hub (Edinburgh

Support Workers in the Holyrood Hub work together with the people we support to find solutions that help to resolve their homelessness.  Support plans are person-centred so that the support people receive is based on their needs and wishes.  Support Workers create an environment that is friendly and safe, based on the psychologically informed environment and trauma informed care principles.

Support Worker 2- Perth

Community Outreach (Perth)

Our aim is to prevent and resolve homelessness by supporting people to sustain tenancies. Our approach is trauma informed and person centric with our team working with people to develop their own support plans; based on their individual circumstances and goals. 

We do this by working with people to identify the support they need in all areas of their lives, and identify how best to meet these needs. In meeting these needs, we work in partnership with a wide range of agencies, and as such working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team key to the Support Worker Role. 

We also have opportunities to join our relief staff team. Relief hours are based on service delivery needs and offer an exciting chance to build your experience and skills in social care.

Salary: £18,810 – £21,677

Location: Perth Centre and North Perthshire

Hours: 37.5hrs & Relief roles available

We have a range of residential services across North Lanarkshire and also a floating support service who provide intensive support to people who are at risk of becoming homeless and provide resettlement support once they receive a tenancy. 

You will not need a car and licence for our residential services but you will need a full driving licence and access to a car for our floating support service.

Support/Relief Workers – Women’s Services

Women’s Housing Support Services (Glasgow)

We have full and part-time vacancies for support workers based in our women’s housing support services in Glasgow. We also have opportunities to join our relief staff team. Relief hours are based on service delivery needs and offer an exciting chance to build your experience and skills in social care, these roles are ideally suited to students and those who can be flexible with their time and availability. 

We will also consider applicants looking to work on a permanent night shift basis.

  • Salary: £18,525 – £21,677 SW1/SW2 (FTE based on a 37.5hr week)
  • Location: Women’s Housing Support Services (Glasgow)
  • Hours: Working on a rota basis including overnight (waking and sleepover) and weekend shifts
