We are a floating housing support service working with people living in the city of Perth and
across North Perthshire. We are one of three organisations working alongside Perth and
Kinross Council to deliver this intensive, high quality service provision.
We assist people who have been identified as homeless; they may have been living in
temporary accommodation, sofa surfing with relatives or friends, moving on from a
challenging relationship – everyone’s situation is unique to them. We help people to move
forward and into their own accommodation; working with them to develop the necessary skills
to sustain their tenancy as this can be a time of significant change and challenge.
People are at the heart of who we are and what we do. We do this by providing one to one
person centred support, using a trauma informed approach to build trusting relationships,
creating a safe platform from which people can make their homes.
We welcome people with a wide range of skills and experiences to our team – including
those who have lived experience of homelessness.
We also have opportunities to join our relief staff team. Relief hours are based on service delivery needs and offer an exciting chance to build your experience and skills in social care.
We want to make it easy, make it right, and make it happen – not only for the people we
support, but also for each other. To make a difference we need to be flexible, have a sense of
humour and a ‘can do’ spirit.
Our #OneTeam ethos is core to who we are, and it means caring for and supporting each
other regardless of our role, service or location. We want people who share our values to join
us and become a part of the Simon Community Scotland family
