People are amazing. Every day we see people affected by homelessness doing extraordinary things: finding a home, reconnecting with family, getting back into work, building something new. They do the work.
We know that when people are treated as people, and given the space and support they need, they can do amazing things. That is what we’re here to do.
When we ask people what community means to them we learn that it’s “room to breathe”, it’s “my forever home”, it’s “for everyone”.
Every answer is different. Every answer is right. Community is space to breathe, a place to call home, a place to grow, and an equal right to a safe, secure and fulfilling life. Because everyone deserves a safe place to live and access to the support they need. It starts with a home, but it doesn’t end there.
And more people need it than ever. As of 31 March 2026, there were 34,964 open homelessness cases in Scotland, a 10% increase on the previous year. Behind every one of those numbers is a person with their own strengths, their own plans and their own route forward.
We exist for anyone facing or affected by homelessness in Scotland. Support us this winter, by becoming part of our community. This is all of us together.
This is your part in it
Community is for everyone, and there's more than one way to be part of ours.
