North Lanarkshire

North Lanrakshire Homelessness services

We play a pivotal role within the North Lanarkshire community – which is Scotland’s 4th largest council area (by population). Core to our service is the intensive housing support we provide through both accommodation and community outreach.

We have four accommodation services are in the Motherwell, Airdrie and the Wishaw areas. Our flexible community outreach (floating support) means the team can connect with people wherever they are, to help them access services and get the support they need.

Partnership is central. Working closely with North Lanarkshire Council and a range of over 40 statutory and voluntary organisations, we can help make things easier and better for people affected by homelessness. Our Homes First consortium with Barnardos and Blue Triangle is just one of the ways collaborations are making a difference.

Our most important partnership is with those we support. There’s no ‘one size fits all’. We take time to build relationships so people get what then need to be well and take steps towards the future they want.

Enabling digital inclusion, gardening and cooking together, being pet friendly, promoting cycling and pursuing award winning digital innovations to keep people safer are just some of the ways we help people develop their skills and confidence while also promoting their physical health, relationships and wellbeing.

“Anytime I've needed help it's readily available. They help me source food banks if I'm struggling and have helped me get gas and electricity on different occasions. Even I just need a wee chat they are always there”
