We work with people so that they can resolve their homelessness as quickly as possible

We maintain contact with people – in diverse circumstances. This is how we build relationships so that people we support can find ways to address the underlying reasons for their homelessness and get the support they need, to recover and thrive.

The people we support have often experienced severe trauma, and continue to suffer the impacts of these harms, including the trauma and many harms associated with homelessness. People are often facing circumstances that they have no control over, while finding and getting the right kind of support is often complicated and full of obstacles.

How we treat people matters.

We work collaboratively with individuals and partner organisations to make sure we’re taking a robust trauma informed approach. We positively address biases, stereotypes and past trauma and our approach allows us a platform to understand the whole individual.

In doing so we create safe psychologically informed environments, establish trust and healthy boundaries and support the autonomy of choice which we use to promote strengths in people and support a reduction in re-traumatisation.

We seek to be psychologically informed in all our relationships - with those we support, with our colleagues and our partners. This is how we build positive relationships that can lead to powerful impacts for people we support.
