Karyn now leads Community Justice Scotland with the aim of preventing offending and reoffending, involving supporting people with substance use, homelessness, mental health, and family support. Looking at innovations and evidence to assist people into wellbeing and away from the criminal justice system.
Karyn is a Non-Executive Director at Scottish Professional Football League, Chair of the Centre for Justice Innovation, a trustee of PEEK a young persons charity in Glasgow and a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health.
Karyn loves the Simon Community and was on the board for nearly 10 years until she had to leave, she was then brought back on by Mary Craig – who is the Yoda of the Simon Community, and who Karyn is powerless to say no to. She has been really lucky to be involved in a small way with River Garden, and will always love the work that the Simon Community does.
