Women’s Services
Our services by women, for women
We have been providing safe places, care and compassionate services to women experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, for many years.
We’ve seen first hand the increased challenges, vulnerabilities and risks women experience because of their gender. We've also witnessed the incredible resilience, tenacity and courage they exhibit every single day.

Psychologically safety
With the support of our clinical psychologist and learning and development colleagues, our trauma skilled teams build psychologically safe environments.
Women can get the best possible support in an environment that feels safe. We meet each person where they're at – helping them recognise their own strengths and value them as the incredible people they are.
Some ways we support women
- We’re proud to be providing over 55 safe places every night
- Our street teams support women out of rough sleeping
- We’ve created a multiagency wraparound space at our Connect Hub
- We’re pioneering gender based harm reduction approaches for substance use and gambling harms
- We provide housing first services through specialist gender based teams.

How we build relationships
Our work with women using our services is based around these themes:
Creative
The heart of our work is building relationships with women who have had it instilled in them that they are not worthy of trust. We rebuild what is broken, in a million different ways.
Meaningful
We care for women at their lowest and highest. We offer comfort to mothers whose children have been removed from their care. We rally together to collect furniture and paint to set a woman up in her new home.
Honest
We are both direct and caring in our approach. We don’t shy away from the harsh realities of living with addiction or mental health problems.
Ambitious
We are innovative, pioneering change that puts holistic wellbeing at the forefront of our care.
Safe
We are a community, bound together by the shared belief that everyone matters, and that with love and support we can overcome any challenge.

Hear from Service Leads in our Women's Services
We sat down with Clare and Harriet from our Women's Services to talk about a gendered approach to homelessness service delivery.
These conversations provide a good picture of the support we are able to provide when we take a trauma informed approach that takes account of the particular things that women experience and need.
Make yourself a cuppa and enjoy it with them as you watch.
